Human Services Coordinator
Buffalo Trace Aging and Disabilities Resource Center

Anticipated funding for a full-time position to coordinate the Buffalo Trace Aging and Disability Resource Center and act as the State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) Coordinator.

Individual will be responsible for providing information and assistance to both public and private pay individuals about service and supports for which they are eligible, providing access, eligibility screening, assessment of long term care support needs and care planning to callers.
The selected candidate must work directly with clients in an attempt to resolve issues with public benefits and insurance problems of elderly persons and Medicare recipients, and recruit, train and monitor volunteers to counsel the elderly and Medicare recipients on public benefits and health insurance matters. Strong leadership and time management skills are essential.

Ability to travel and drivers license is a requirement.

Educational requirements:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a human/social services field or related experience.
Computer and Internet skills a must.
